So far in 2019...
This year is looking to be a year of major changes. We are in the process of moving across the state to be closer to family, and the packing craze is in full force. I have a younger cousin who also moved from a different state to be closer to us. We settled her with my mom earlier in January and I’m excited because she’s also an artistic person who wants to explore what else she can do. Of course the boys are excited because they love Grandma and anytime we visit, they don’t want to go home.
So far, I’ve been getting back into emotional art. My brother visited our home country of Vietnam for his birthday with his girlfriend and they took some amazing photos. One gave me a sweet feeling so I wanted to paint it. It took me a while to finish because most of my art supplies are packed up at my mom’s place. Just over 3 weekends of driving and visiting. I was able to show my cousin painting techniques and get more of a feel of what she likes. It was a nice bonding moment.
Valentine’s Day came and went.
With it I am trying to be more involved in art groups and sketching more. My husband surprised me by getting me a new monitor tablet and art design program so I need to practice using them. Here’s a sketch that I hope to complete. #DrawThisInYourStyle with Kuntum Faiha, #FaihaDraw.
